Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are in Excellent Plus condition. The rear sight is a square groove in the top strap. Sights / Optics: The front sight is a quarter round blade fixed to the barrel. This is all confirmed by the Factory letter. The left grip panel is scrimshawed, with “END OF TRAIL / 1999” in a banner under an Indian on a horse. The remainder of the revolver is embellished with Class C Expert level scroll engraving by John Adams. The factory engraved panel scenes depict an East meets West theme with an Indian teepee on the left side of the frame and a covered wagon on the right. The left front of the trigger guard is marked with a “VP” in a triangle and at the rear with “B”.
The underside of the frame at the grip frame is marked with the serial number. The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT. Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY.
